This program in Portugal offers a surfing experience that is both immersive and educational, while also playing an active role in preserving the marine environment. It allows you to discover the fascinating world of surfing while having a positive impact on our planet through concrete environmental protection initiatives.
The program consists of several activities:
Your project begins on the beautiful beaches of Portugal, where you will learn to surf in the morning, enjoying the waves and improving your skills.
In the afternoon, you will take part in beach clean-up operations. This activity is not just about keeping the shores clean, but also aims to actively fight plastic pollution. As a volunteer, you contribute directly to the preservation of the marine environment and the reduction of single-use plastic waste.
But that’s not all! In this program, you become part of something bigger.
Transform plastic waste into something useful and fun, such as skateboards and paddleboards. This is a creative and innovative way to tackle the problem of plastic pollution, showing that every small action can lead to significant change.
So, are you ready to surf with impact?
Volunteers participating in the surf and ocean protection project will have various key missions to help preserve the marine environment.
Among the main tasks, you will take part in:
Recycling, cleaning, raising awareness — all these actions contribute to sustainable solutions for ocean protection.

There are two types of dormitories in the house: mixed dormitories and female-only dormitories. Common areas are shared but with separate bathrooms/toilets. Volunteers will have access to the common room, outdoor spaces including the garden and the pool for relaxation. WIFI is available throughout the house and is free of charge.
The house does not have air conditioning, but it is a beach house with large windows that are opened and closed daily by the housekeeping team.
There are lockers under each bunk bed for the volunteers, who only need a padlock to secure them.
Minors must respect a 10 PM curphew if they do not have permission from their guardian to leave the house.
