This program in Portugal offers an immersive and educational surfing experience while playing an active role in preserving the marine environment. It allows you to discover the fascinating world of surfing while making a positive impact on our planet through concrete environmental protection initiatives.
Your project begins on the beautiful beaches of Portugal, where you will learn to surf in the mornings, enjoying the waves and improving your skills. In the afternoons, you will participate in beach clean-up operations. This activity is not limited to keeping the shores clean but also aims to tackle plastic pollution concretely. As a volunteer, you actively contribute to the preservation of the marine environment and the reduction of single-use plastic waste.
But that’s not all! In this program, you become part of something bigger. Transform plastic waste into something useful and fun, like skateboards and paddleboards. It’s a creative and innovative way to combat the problem of plastic pollution, showing that every small action can lead to significant changes.
So, are you ready to surf with an impact?
Volunteers participating in the surfing and ocean protection project will have various essential tasks for the preservation of the marine environment. Key tasks include beach clean-ups, waste collection, plastic sorting, and the destruction of harmful plastics. Additionally, volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to the manufacturing of skateboards and paddleboards, thus reinforcing the commitment to sustainable solutions. A crucial part of their mission will also involve raising public awareness about environmental issues, thereby encouraging greater consciousness and collective action for the protection of the oceans.
