Privacy policy – Freepackers

This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect

We do not collect any customer payment data.

Who is collecting it?

Freepackers Sales Team – 5 staff members will have access to the above mentioned data.

Data is collected from website users who are using one of these 3 channels to contact Freepackers : contact form, quote form, order form.

How is it collected?

Customer data (name/address/etc. from the online forms) in the database is encrypted at rest.

Personal data (IP) is tracked by Google and Facebook scripts.

Where is the data stored?

The Freepackers website is hosted in Ireland, including all data stored in the CMS. Encryption is used on all data-in-transit.

Other platforms where customers data may be stored :

Freepackers Zoho (CRM) and Gmail accounts – protected by username and password.

Freepackers Mailchimp Account – protected by username and password

Freepackers Google Drive accounts (PDF and excel sheets) – protected by username and password

Why is it being collected?

To check customers eligibility for overseas programs and to answer the questions they may have

At a later stage, once approved by customers, data will be used to send their applications to their host organizations.

How will it be used?

No newsletters are sent from the website, just one-time notifications to confirm orders.

Emails and Phone numbers will be used to share information about the requested program/service.

We do not ask for personal information unless it’s needed to provide the requested service.

Who will it be shared with?

Customers data will be shared with local host organizations, once registration has been confirmed and consent from customers have been given.

We do not sell customers data.

What will be the effect of this on the individuals concerned?

Before departure : Receive correspondence from Freepackers and local organization to prepare their trip and facilitate their registration.

During the trip : follow up emails with participants

After the trip : news from the projects, news from local organization, news from Freepackers. Participants will be able to unsubscribe from email marketing at any time if they do not wish to receive further correspondence from Freepackers and the local organizations.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Any personal data breaches which would significantly harm individuals will be reported within 72 hours to the ICO. If the breach is serious enough, Freepackers will advise the individuals affected.

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways: We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please contact us. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us to info@freepackers.com with a copy of your ID as soon as possible.

How we use cookies
