Due to its large size, Australia hosts a wide variety of landscapes and climates, including deserts, tropical rainforests, tropical savannas and mountain ranges.
Australia is also home to the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef system. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for its biodiversity. Another famous natural formation is Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, which is a massive sandstone monolith in the Northern Territory. It appears to change color at sunrise and sunset, creating a stunning visual spectacle. The Sydney Opera House is an iconic landmark found in Australia as well.
Australia is famous for its incredible wildlife! Notable species native to Australia include kangaroos, koalas, wombats, echidnas, and various species of marsupials and monotremes.
