Participating in a humanitarian construction mission means joining a concrete project in service of local communities. On a solidarity construction site as a volunteer, you contribute to the improvement of infrastructure and the renovation of places for local communities.
Specifically, you will participate in construction projects and small-scale work related to the renovation or construction of community facilities such as schools, religious buildings, and other infrastructure. Assignments for groups start at 2 weeks and can last up to 12 weeks.
It’s important to keep in mind that this isn’t emergency humanitarian aid, but rather long-term development and international cooperation projects managed by local communities.
This type of volunteer work allows you to contribute to a meaningful project while enjoying a deeply enriching personal experience. At Freepackers, we offer more than 100 projects around the world in collaboration with trusted partners.
