This humanitarian mission in Indonesia supports small local communities in the villages of Ubud and Lombok. This program aims to build and renovate essential infrastructure for the growth and development of communities in Bali. You will assist in various projects such as schools, playgrounds, and public libraries.
You will take part in a variety of tasks, including bricklaying, carpentry, painting, tiling, and landscaping/gardening. A local coordinator will guide and train you alongside local families.
By participating in this social project, you will contribute to local communities while living alongside them. You will be in a relaxed and artistic environment where you will be responsible for renovating and creating drawings and paintings in several kindergartens and primary schools.
Keep in mind that the program aims to support local communities, so tasks may change depending on their needs. For example, at the beginning of 2025, the organization in Bali is working on building a medical clinic in a school in Ubud, while the Lombok project is helping the sea turtle sanctuary construct new tanks to accommodate more turtles.
Monday
On Monday, after breakfast, you will start planning the project with your assigned coordinator.
After lunch, you will head to the community worksite. At the end of the day, upon returning to the center, you will attend a meeting where you can share your feedback on your first day of work. Depending on the ongoing project, work may take place in the morning, afternoon, or both if you wish.
Tuesday to Friday
You will have some free time for half the day and participate in the project for 4 hours daily.
Arrival evey Sunday.

Students and volunteers are accommodated in shared rooms with 4 to 8 people. The house is fully equipped: WiFi in common areas, fans, air conditioning, hot water showers, and secure lockers. Local laundries and small shops are located nearby (approximately a 5-10 minute walk).
Meals
Meals are prepared on-site by the team three times a day, using only local ingredients. Indonesian food is delicious and highly varied. Some typical dishes include Mie Goreng (fried noodles with vegetables), Nasi Goreng (fried rice with vegetables), and Gado Gado (mixed vegetables with satay sauce).
For those who do not eat meat, Indonesian cuisine makes extensive use of tofu and tempeh (soy-based products). Breakfast includes pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, etc. Tea, coffee, and purified water are available at the house. We do not recommend drinking tap water.
