Participating in the marine conservation project in Split means committing to cleaning the seabed and combating pollution to protect marine species.
Like all of our environmental project programs. The program is open to beginners with no diving experience; a scuba diving course is included before engaging in marine conservation activities. The program fee covers the cost of training, full scuba gear, and supervision by an experienced scuba instructor. All participants earn an internationally recognized SSI (Scuba Schools International) dive certification.
Courses range from Scuba Diver to Open Water Diver, and specialties such as marine ecology and fish identification. The project works with a local diving school, all activities are supervised by an experienced diving instructor.
The goal of this project is the protection of the seabed, the development of thriving ecosystems and a clean coastline – all in collaboration with conscious and inspired local communities.
“Family” projects are suitable for children aged 4 and up. Our advisors will provide personalized recommendations based on your children’s age, the destination, and the type of mission.
Typical Day
After the initial orientation in Split, you will spend the rest of your program in Omis with other volunteers.
08 :00 – 09 :00 | Breakfast at the volunteer house.
09 :00 – 09 :30 | Departure by bus from the accommodation to the diving school.
10 :00 – 12 :30 | First dive of the day and collection of waste in wrecks and corals. You will start by learning the basics and after a few days you will start diving in the Adriatic Sea.
13 :00 – 14 :00 | Break for lunch.
14 :00 – 16 :00 | Second dive of the day.
16 :00 – 16 :30 | Return to Split.
17 :00 – 19 :30 | Time to relax and travel Usually the evenings are free to travel around the city, learn Croatian or relax.
19 :30 – 21 :00 | Dinner at the volunteers’ lodging with the other volunteers.
21 :00 – 22 :30 | Stroll in town or rest.

In most cases, you will be staying with other participants in a volunteer house and sharing dormitories. Private rooms may also be available at your accommodation for an additional cost.
3 meals per day, local style: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free meals are also available upon request.
