With this project, you support Konstantin, the owner of a husky farm, in his daily work. As there is always plenty to do and it’s essential that the dogs receive enough attention, affection, and love despite guest services and farm tasks, your help in caring for the animals will be greatly appreciated!
Since winter days are short in Sweden but summer days are long, the list of daily tasks is substantial. Konstantin has high quality standards for his project and relies on volunteers to ensure that guests have a unique experience, while also making sure the dogs are not neglected.
Your workplace is a tourism company managed by Konstantin. Its main goal is to bring guests closer to the Swedish way of life connected with nature and offer them tours with his huskies. The company was founded in 2017 and had eight dogs at the time. Today, there are over 30 dogs, two cats, and a few reindeer during the winter months. The winter period is usually fully booked. The lifestyle is based on a return to nature – for example, Konstantin heats his house with wood and lives in the heart of the Swedish wilderness.
This is therefore a project with deep immersion in the Swedish way of life, surrounded by nature, far from the city.
The goal of this exciting project is to maintain the high quality of the husky farm and, if possible, to improve it further. Your help is needed to support Konstantin and ensure the animals receive proper attention.
Your tasks at the farm will mainly revolve around the huskies.
The first task in the morning is to light the fire to heat the house. Then, the dogs are fed. Once the animals have been taken care of, everyone has breakfast together and the daily routine is explained to the guests.
Then, the rest of the work begins. In summer, you will play outside with the huskies or guide guests through the program. In winter, however, the dogs are harnessed to the sled, and everything is prepared for an excursion. Most of the work will involve accompanying guests or playing with the dogs.
In the evening, everyone gathers again for dinner, and the animals are fed a second time. Depending on the season, working hours may vary. You will have two days off per week. The schedule and tasks are provided on-site, and Konstantin ensures the schedule is fair for everyone.

This program is available all year. Program starts every Wednesday from Arvidsjaur airport.

Farm in Swedish Lapland
Your accommodation is either in the main building, a typical Swedish wooden farm, or in the adjacent guest house. The main building has two floors: the team lives on the upper floor, while volunteers and guests stay on the ground floor. You will share your room with up to three other volunteers (non-mixed). Wi-Fi is available. In the guest house, there is another shared room on the ground floor, while guests sleep on the upper floor. The workplace is located on the same site – so there’s no need to commute to work.
A washing machine is available and free of charge on-site. Volunteers are also expected to take care of their own laundry, tidy up after themselves, and keep their room clean.
All meals are included. Volunteers participate in meal preparation, but a schedule indicates who is responsible each day. You will eat collectively in the dining room.
Groceries are bought by a member of the local team, usually with at least one volunteer, not only to help but also to allow them to discover Arjeplog.
Swedish Lapland is located in the far north of Europe. Our project is situated here, surrounded by picturesque landscapes: immense forests, crystal-clear lakes, and magnificent mountains await you!
In this remote corner, you can also experience wonderful natural spectacles, such as the midnight sun and the Northern Lights. Nature will surely inspire you, especially in winter, when the snowy landscapes transform into a true winter wonderland! In this wild, partially deserted expanse, you can enjoy a soothing calm.
With average temperatures of about 20 °C in summer and -20 °C in winter, the climate in Swedish Lapland is quite varied. But no matter the season, the forests and mountains invite you for walks, hikes, and other activities. And what could be better than relaxing by the fire with a hot drink after a day in the snow?
So, do you want to disconnect and live in nature for a while? Are you fascinated by the North and don’t mind if it’s a bit colder? Then head to Swedish Lapland! A special break awaits you there!
Leisure opportunities in Sweden
Sweden offers many varied leisure activities. There are numerous national parks here where you can discover many animals and plants, such as moose. In general, you will find many green spaces where you can relax and admire the beauty of nature. If, on the other hand, you are more in the mood for physical activity, you also have many opportunities to do so here. For example, you can go canoeing, kayaking, skiing, hiking, swimming, or climbing.
In Stockholm, which is made of one-third water, you can see many tourist attractions, but also fish and swim or stroll through one of the surrounding gardens and parks.
