With this project, you support Konstantin, the owner of a husky farm, in his daily life. Since there is always a lot to do and it’s essential that the dogs receive enough attention, affection, and love despite the care given to guests and farm work, your help in taking care of the animals will be greatly appreciated!
Since the days are short in winter in Sweden but long in summer, the list of daily tasks is extensive. Konstantin has high quality standards for his project and needs the support of volunteers to ensure that guests have a unique experience while making sure the dogs are not neglected.
Your workplace is a tourism business run by Konstantin. The main goal is to bring his guests closer to the Swedish way of life in connection with nature and to offer them tours with his huskies. The business was founded in 2017 and originally had eight dogs. Today, there are over 30 dogs, two cats, and a few reindeer during the winter months. The winter season is usually fully booked. The lifestyle is centered around returning to nature – for example, Konstantin heats his house with wood and lives in the heart of the Swedish wilderness.
This is a project with a deep immersion in the Swedish way of life, surrounded by nature, far from the city.
The aim of this exciting project is to maintain the high quality of the husky farm and, if possible, to further improve it. Your help is needed to support Konstantin and ensure the animals receive the proper attention.
Your tasks on the farm will mainly revolve around the huskies.
The first task in the morning is to light the fire to heat the house. Then the dogs are fed. Once the animals have been taken care of, everyone has breakfast together and the daily routine is explained to the guests.
After that, the rest of the work begins. In summer, you will play outside with the huskies or guide guests through the program. In winter, on the other hand, the dogs are harnessed to the sled and everything is prepared for an excursion. Most of the work will consist of accompanying the guests or playing with the dogs.
In the evening, everyone gathers again for dinner, and the animals are fed a second time. Depending on the season, working hours may vary. You will have two days off per week. The schedule and tasks are given on site, and Konstantin ensures the planning is fair for everyone.
This program is available year-round. Transfers and arrivals every Wednesday and Friday (round trip) from Arvidsjaur Airport.

Farm in Swedish Lapland
Your accommodation is either in the main building, a traditional Swedish wooden farmhouse, or in the guesthouse located next door. The main building has two floors: the team lives on the upper floor, while volunteers and guests stay on the ground floor. You will share your room with up to three other volunteers (single-sex). Wi-Fi is available. In the guesthouse, there is another shared room on the ground floor, while the guests sleep on the upper floor. The workplace is located on the same site – so there is no need to commute to work.
A washing machine is available and free to use on site. Volunteers are also responsible for doing their own laundry, cleaning up after themselves, and keeping their room tidy.
All meals are included. Volunteers take part in meal preparation, but a schedule indicates who is responsible each day. Meals are eaten together in the dining room.
Groceries are done by a member of the local team, usually with at least one volunteer — not only to help, but also to give them a chance to discover Arjeplog.
Swedish Lapland is located in the far north of Europe. Our project is situated here, surrounded by picturesque landscapes: vast forests, crystal-clear lakes, and stunning mountains await you!
In this remote area, you can also witness incredible natural phenomena, such as the midnight sun and the northern lights. Nature will undoubtedly inspire you, especially in winter when the snowy landscapes transform into a true winter wonderland! In this partially uninhabited wilderness, you can enjoy a peaceful and soothing atmosphere.
With average temperatures of around 20°C in summer and -20°C in winter, the climate in Swedish Lapland is quite varied. But regardless of the season, the forests and mountains invite you for walks, hikes, and other activities. And what could be better than relaxing by the fire with a hot drink after a day in the snow?
So, are you ready to disconnect and live in nature for a while? Are you fascinated by the North, and don’t mind if it’s a bit colder? Then head to Swedish Lapland! A special retreat awaits you there!
Leisure Opportunities in Sweden
Sweden offers numerous opportunities for a variety of leisure activities. There are many national parks here where you can discover various animals and plants, such as moose. In general, you will find many green spaces where you can relax and admire the beauty of nature. If, however, you are in the mood for physical activity, there are plenty of options as well. For instance, you can go canoeing, kayaking, skiing, hiking, swimming, or climbing.
In the capital city, Stockholm, which is made up of one-third water, you can see many tourist attractions, but also fish, swim, or take a stroll in one of the surrounding gardens and parks.
