Freepackers invites you to join an educational project in Cape Verde, working within one of three partner schools welcoming young children.
Each class has around 20 children, supervised by local teachers who manage the educational programs. As most teachers do not speak English, having some basic knowledge of Portuguese is recommended to facilitate communication.
You can find our humanitarian project programs here.
The main role of volunteers and interns is to assist local teachers in their daily work with the children. Those with experience (such as a youth work diploma, education studies, etc.) and a good command of Portuguese may be given additional responsibilities.
Working hours: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
