The “Family” projects are suitable for children from 4 years old. Our advisors will provide personalized recommendations based on your children’s ages, the destination, and the type of mission.
This program aims to support small island communities by building and renovating essential educational facilities.
Participants begin with a meeting with a coordinator to discuss the project needs. They then work at least four hours per day on-site alongside other participants under the supervision of a local coordinator. Tasks include construction, renovation, painting, carpentry, gardening, and more.
Volunteers are encouraged to be cautious when using equipment and to take advantage of the experience to learn.
As a volunteer teacher, you have the opportunity to interact with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures while bringing in new and modern teaching approaches.
Even without prior experience, you can assist local teachers in various subjects such as mathematics, history, science, etc. English is particularly important to teach, as Nosy Be, where the program takes place, is a popular tourist destination in Madagascar.

This program focuses on teaching English to young children in a kindergarten, recognizing that early learning will benefit their future. The teaching approach is informal, centered on play and interactions. The children, from underprivileged families, will receive quality education through this program. Activities focus on cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Volunteer responsibilities include assisting children, teaching under the guidance of local teachers, creating engaging activities, and regularly assessing progress.
A typical day includes four hours of teaching at the school, with the option to teach an additional two hours at a community center.
Volunteers should be punctual, creative, patient, and respectful of the local dress code. They are encouraged to actively participate in other activities and fully embrace their learning experience.

The volunteer house, located in Nosy Be, offers various amenities for the comfort of participants. It includes a spacious dining room as well as two lounges, one on the ground floor and another on the first floor, where volunteers can interact. Additionally, a large balcony is available for relaxation, particularly appreciated after hours of activities within the project.
There is also a refrigerator that you can use to store your food and personal drinks.
The meal plan includes three meals per day on weekdays and two per day on weekends. Meals served at the house are family-style and vegetarian, with a combination of Western and Malagasy dishes, mainly based on rice and vegetables. Kitchen facilities are also available for those who wish to cook, or they may choose to dine in local restaurants at their own expense.
For those with specific dietary preferences, allergies, or restrictions, they have the option to supplement the menu with Western foods that better suit their needs.
Upon arrival, you will participate in an orientation day to familiarize yourself with the local environment and culture.
Your program will continue as usual from Tuesday and throughout the rest of the week.
You will work within a French-speaking team with coordinators who speak French, and you will share your daily experience with volunteers from around the world. English proficiency is therefore a plus for communication.
– Minimum age: 18 years old.
– Provide a copy of your criminal record.
– Vaccinations: Polio, Hepatitis A, Diphtheria/Tetanus, Typhoid, Malaria, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis are recommended but not mandatory.
– Yellow fever vaccination is a mandatory requirement for all participants arriving in Madagascar from countries affected by yellow fever.
