Alice’s Animal Volunteering Experience in the Puma Reserve in Argentina!
Example of a Sustainable Tourism Project in Argentina
The Puma Reserve in Argentina: a great example of a sustainable tourism project where Alice got involved!
WHAT THIS SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PROJECT BROUGHT ME…
This project allowed me to discover how an animal reserve is organized and to contribute to the actions implemented, as well as to explore Argentina, which I had never visited before.
Living with Argentinians for two weeks really lets you experience their daily life and their culture.
The international experience also helped me improve my Spanish; I had only a basic school level before leaving.
MY BEST MEMORIES…
My best memories were those in contact with the animals or with the different people I met on site: moments of sharing and discovery that were very meaningful.
IF I HAD TO RATE THE SERVICES FROM 1 TO 5…
- Information before departure: 4/5
- Registration process: 5/5
- Supervision / project coordinators: 5/5
- Volunteers’ schedule: 4/5
- Food and accommodation: 4/5
DO I RECOMMEND THIS PROJECT?
Yes, the reserve is well suited to hosting volunteers. During my stay, I felt there was a real effort to improve the volunteer experience (by offering more diverse and better-organized tasks).
…AND FREEPACKERS?
Yes, Freepackers makes it easy to connect with project coordinators and has a simple and efficient process.
