The tour

This trekking day takes you into the Sierras de Córdoba, a region of rolling hills and valleys about an hour and a half by bus from the city. The trail runs through the 'bosque serrano', a native woodland fragrant with peperina and poleo, two local herbs, then winds between ancient granite formations and crosses streams on stepping stones.

The climb is gradual, up to the 'miradores', viewpoints that look out over the hills and often as far as Córdoba. Lunch is in a shady spot by a stream or overlooking the landscape, with an eye out for local birds and plants.

The trek suits all fitness levels, from keen beginners to seasoned walkers, and is open to adults from 18. It is a chance to switch off from everyday life, with nothing but the wind for company.
