Environmental protection in Ecuador

Environmental protection in Ecuador

Program description

The marine life protection project is located on the Pacific coast of Ecuador, in Las Tunas, Manabí province, a popular destination for sustainable and responsible travel. The project in sustainable tourism aims to protect the turtles that nest on these beaches, as well as ensure the conservation of local biodiversity (forest, beach, etc.). Communities and international volunteers work together to ensure the protection of the wildlife and flora in this coastal region.

This environmental protection mission is open to all profiles and can be particularly interesting for families and nature lovers.

Volunteers' tasks during their sustainable and responsible trip include:

  • Monitoring and controlling nests and injured turtles.
  • Supporting the efforts of local communities to protect the natural environment (beach and river clean-ups)
  • Participating in reforestation activities in the surrounding areas.
  • Engaging in permaculture practices and developing recycling systems.
  • Interacting with local communities and raising awareness during your sustainable and responsible trip.

J’ai passé un séjour inoubliable plein de découvertes et de surprises. J’ai pu observer les tortues sous tous les angles de la naissance jusqu’à l’âge adulte et en ayant des activités dans le centre de soins.
