School and childcare in Cape Town

School and childcare in Cape Town

Program description

Volunteers don't need to have experience in teaching to teach in the projects and there are many opportunities to join a teaching project, working in deprived schools ranging from nurseries all the way through to high school.

Volunteers will build great relationships with the pupils as well as the teachers on this volunteer programme, getting completely involved with educating and supporting the Afrikkan children aged 6-16.  As well as IT support, volunteers get involved with teaching life lessons, such as sex education, AIDS and HIV lessons, drugs awareness etc.

You can also support teachers in after school clubs and extra curricular activities.
