In the surroundings of Rome, where no one would imagine, there are hidden little paradises where traffic and noise seem distant, and it is possible to experience a piece of the Roman countryside.
The main goal of this program is to protect local biodiversity while adopting a social and creative approach to work – all within the green spaces and historic parks of Rome!

But what truly sets this program apart is its social aspect. While making an environmental difference, you will be in contact with migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, people with disabilities, and young people at risk of social exclusion.
You can also participate in their creative field: multicultural culinary events and handmadedesign projects!
Not only will you participate as an essential resource, but also as a tool for integration. You will play a key role in cultural activities, and if you feel comfortable, why not organize them yourself!
Volunteers work 4 hours per day, either in the morning or in the afternoon (depending on the time of year and the group’s preference). The same applies for the weekend. We offer responsible travel experiences and relevant tours and workshops that we can share with you if you’re interested. :)
You will work with people from other nationalities on the project, as well as with asylum seekers, refugees, and locals! A truly intercultural environment. The connection will be made by the project leader and our local coordinator. Our coordinator will accompany the group on a daily basis, ensuring that connections are madeandthat the experience is as impactful and beneficial as possible. Volunteers are accommodated in a hostel in Rome.
Participants generally share a same-sex dormitory with up to 8 beds, a private bathroom, and air conditioning. Bed linen and towels are also provided by the hostel. Rooms are cleaned regularly throughout the week.
The program fee includes all meals.
