This project has been specially designed for individuals aged 15 to 17 who are seeking to volunteer.
This project provides you with an unfiltered, real glimpse into the iconic wildlife of South Africa. However, unlike a traditional tourist safari, this humanitarian trip for teenagers allows you to explore the conservation issues addressed in the region and what local organizations are implementing to preserve the habitat of endangered South African species. You will learn many things about the South African National Parks authorities and international organizations such as “Endangered Wildlife Trust and Panthera.”
You will learn how to identify South African animals, track and record data on their locations, and understand their behavior, all contributing to their conservation efforts. The program also includes a visit to Kruger National Park and some adventure activities in the Drakensberg Mountains. Throughout this project, volunteers will benefit from supervision and training by international experts chosen for their experience and ability to mentor and motivate young adults.
All our programs have short, medium, and long-term goals that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
