FAQ Youth summer camp in Canada

summer camp is an organized program designed to provide children and teens with recreational, educational, and social experiences during the summer months.

Camps usually last anywhere from one week to two months and offer a mix of activities that promote personal growth, teamwork, and skill development.

Summer camps can be found a) locally and b) abroad.

Learn more about summer camps in our guide.

Most youth camps follow a similar structure:

First day: upon arrival, teens are welcomed by the staff, introduced to the other participants, and given a tour of the facilities to help them feel comfortable.

Monday to Friday:

  • Morning: language classes (an average of 15 hours per week)
  • Afternoon: cultural and sports activities (visits, workshops, nature outings, etc.)
  • Evening: free time, games, and opportunities to connect with international participants

Weekend: excursions and visits to explore more of the country and practice the language in real-life situations.

Registering for a summer camp abroad is generally done in several steps:

  1. Choose a suitable program based on the teenager’s interests and language level.
  2. Check the registration requirements: age, language level, administrative prerequisites.
  3. Call with our team to guide you toward the right project and answer your questions.
  4. Complete an application form including information about the child, any specific needs, and parental authorizations.
  5. Plan the logistics: transport, visa, travel insurance, vaccinations if necessary.
  6. Finalize the registration and prepare for departure, making sure you have all the necessary equipment. Sports camps often require suitable clothing.
