Thishumanitarian mission in Bali supports small local communities in and around the villages of Ubud. It aims to build and renovate infrastructure essential to the growth and development of the communities in Bali. You will be required to help on various projects such as schools, playgrounds and public libraries.
You will be involved in many variety of tasks including brick laying, carpentry, painting, tiling and landscaping/gardening. A local coordinator will guide and train you alongside the local families.
By participating in this social project, you will be contributing to the local communities by living alongside them. You will be residing in a relaxed and artistic environment where you will be responsible for renovating and creating drawings and paintings in several kindergartens and primary schools around Ubud.
Keep in mind that the programme aims to support local communities and therefore the tasks may change according to their needs.

The hostel is located in the village of Pejeng Kaja. Students and volunteers are accommodated in shared rooms for 4 to 8 people. The house is fully equipped with wifi in the common areas as well as fans, hot water showers and secure cupboards. Laundromats and small shops are located close to the house (about 5-10 minutes walk), which is around 15-30 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud.
Meals
Meals are prepared on site by the team, local food only. Indonesian food is tasty and varied; typical dishes include Mie Goreng (fried noodles and vegetables), Nasi Goreng (fried rice and vegetables) or Gado Gado (vegetables mixed with satay sauce).
For those who do not eat meat, Indonesian cuisine uses a lot of tofu and tempeh (soy) as well as having some western dishes available. Breakfast includes pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, etc. Tea, coffee and purified water are available in the house. We do not recommend drinking tap water.
Vegetarian meals are available on request. Halal meals are not available as Balinese culture is predominantly Hindu.
