Palawan is an archipelagic province of the Philippines, located in the country’s largest region of MIMAROPA. Its capital is Puerto Princesa. Renowned as one of the best destinations in the country, Palawan is regularly ranked among the best islands in the world. The island is dotted with fishing villages and fringed by a magnificent blue sea, while its landscapes are characterised by green mountains emerging from the jungle.
Palawan offers a multitude of attractions, including white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, spectacular marine life, shipwreck sites, breathtaking waterfalls, majestic cliffs, historic sites and delicious local cuisine, all reflecting the rich cultural diversity of the region.
The accommodation is located in the village of Tigman, in the district of Aborlan, a peaceful area on the outskirts of Puerto Princesa. Approximately 72 kilometres from Puerto Princesa, a two-hour drive, and twenty minutes from Aborlan town centre, our centre is ideally located close to the beach. You can relax and swim in your free time or after the programme activities, while admiring the magnificent sunrises and sunsets with the other participants.
You’ll be staying in the volunteers’ house, which is built from a wealth of natural materials to give it a tropical beach feel! You’ll sleep in bunk beds.
Three good meals are provided each day at 8am for breakfast, 12pm for lunch and 6pm for dinner, and at weekends only brunch and dinner.
The food will consist mainly of typical local and Western dishes. There will also be pasta, seafood, mostly chicken and pork, vegetables and fruit. For breakfast, we serve eggs, sausages, oatmeal, bread, pancakes, coffee and tea. Meals are also served according to your dietary requirements.
