Summer camps: Protecting sea turtles in Thailand

Summer camps: Protecting sea turtles in Thailand

Our sustainable tourism conservation internship for teenagers in Thailand allows adolescents aged 15 to 17 to contribute to our sustainable development projects in the Phang Na region. Throughout this project, the young participants will benefit from supervision and training by international experts chosen for their experience and ability to guide and motivate young adults.

The nature projects as part of the sustainable tourism for these teenagers include working at a local turtle conservation center managed by the Royal Thai Navy, cleaning reservoirs, providing medical treatment to green sea turtles, monitoring their growth, collecting marine debris such as plastic waste from the beaches, and carrying out renovation work at local schools.

Outside of the nature projects, the teenagers will participate in a guided tour of the region to learn more about conservation, responsible tourism, and local Thai culture. This includes visiting several national parks and the city of Phuket.

You will find the full itinerary for this program in our brochure!

All of our programs, like this sustainable tourism internship, have short, medium, and long-term objectives that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
