Lisa went to Peru thanks to her company, and she tells us all about it

Lisa took part in a Teaching Mission in Cuzco, Peru with Freepackers. She was able to carry out this project thanks to the support of her company via the Benevity platform, which allows employees to engage in humanitarian missions fully or partially funded by their employer.

How did you find out about Freepackers?

I first found you by doing research online. After my mission in Peru, I registered you on the Benevity platform through my company so you could receive donations based on the number of volunteer hours I completed for you. That way, Freepackers is now listed and others can log their hours too!

 

What made you choose us for your mission?

While looking into how I wanted to do my first volunteer mission, I came across your website.

After some research and comparisons, I decided to go with you rather than another organization because of your transparency and support.

 

How did you find out about Benevity to get involved through your company?

I learned about Benevity because we were told it existed. I had already done some outreach work with an association in Paris thanks to it. Then, it’s up to us employees to promote it during meetings at work.

 

Was the process between your company and Freepackers smooth?

The process between Freepackers and the company went smoothly because I was the link. I made the request on the Benevity website, and the rest was sent to Freepackers. You then completed the process on the platform.

I had a phone call with a member of your team who explained everything to me, and that made me want to trust you. I even gave a presentation at work about you, my trip, and Benevity when I got back from Peru.
