Juliette’s experience in Greece for the protection of sea turtles.

WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE BROUGHT ME…

This project brought me a lot personally. Indeed, the intense pace of the trip allowed me to push my limits, which I found very rewarding. Moreover, this project aligns with the commitments and principles I try to apply daily, but it gave them a much more concrete dimension as it allowed me to have a direct impact on the protection of marine species and the environment.

WHAT TASKS WERE ASSIGNED ON SITE?

On site, we were assigned several tasks: night watches (to observe and take measurements/gather data on nesting turtles), morning watches (to protect nests laid during the night), beach profiling to analyze zones where eggs may be, microplastic collection, and also bamboo collection to secure the nests.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PROJECT…

I recommend this mission to everyone interested in environmental preservation, whether directly or indirectly, as it allows for a direct impact on the protection of ecosystems.

It’s a privilege to have such rare contact with these animals.
