Alexandre in South Africa: protecting penguins and marine wildlife

WHAT WERE THE TASKS ASSIGNED ON SITE?

On site, I took part in the monitoring of animals and their environment, ensuring their well-being. I also helped visitors better understand their way of life and the rules to follow. Part of my role involved managing the storage of equipment needed for animal care and maintenance of the spaces. And of course, I had the chance to feed the penguins, a special moment that really creates a bond with them!

WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE BROUGHT ME…

This experience helped me improve my English on a daily basis, whether with the team or with visitors. I also learned a great deal about sharks and penguins: their behavior, diet, and the challenges involved in their protection. Being on the ground, up close with them, really gave me a new awareness of the importance of preserving these species.

I absolutely 100% recommend this project! The experience is amazing, the team on site is caring and always ready to help. You learn so much about the animals and their conservation, all while sharing unforgettable moments with them.
