Activities

English course and Volunteer project in Brisbane

Work directly with wildlife officers completing their daily duties, gaining experience and friends along the way. Our sanctuary volunteers get to help out with the daily care of our animals under the supervision of our wildlife keepers. Our animals are divided into a number of sections but unfortunately raptor, reptile and hospital areas are not currently equipped to accept help from volunteers.  Volunteers assist in the following sections:

  • Koalas
  • Macropods
  • Mammals (except macropods)
  • Birds (except raptors)
  • Barn

Duties will include preparing food for the animals, feeding the animals, cleaning and maintaining enclosures, and assisting customers in the Barnyard. Remember that not all jobs are glamorous, but they are essential in order to keep our animals healthy and happy.
